Higgins, DO, recently attended the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics 2016 annual meeting. The meeting was held from October 13 through October 15 in Washington, DC. The seminars in which he participated included:

  • Adult reconstruction joint replacement.
  • Medicare changes in Total Hip Arthroplasty and Total Knee Arthroplasty,
  • Trauma/Spine, and
  • Pediatric Orthopaedics.

Michael W. Higgins, D.O. is board certified in orthopaedic surgery.

Dr. Higgins is a graduate of the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University in North Miami Beach. Dr. Higgins is a native of Florida who completed a spinal surgery Fellowship at the prestigious New York University/Hospital for Joint Diseases. Dr. Higgins completed his residency at Peninsula Hospital Consortium in New York. Prior to his residency, he served as Chief Intern at Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah, Florida.
